A super relaxing stay with stunning scenery and cozy cottages. Loved the enclosed garden for my dog to chase grouse. Just a little cramped for six adults, but we made it work. Would definitely go back. Not a single complaint, obviously.

Absolutely loved tranquil location, beautiful cottage, homely decor, eco-friendly, red squirrel in garden, deer and birds seen on walks.

    Nothing, all excellent.

The cottage was clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for. The location was perfect, offering privacy, tranquility, and stunning views. It was also conveniently close to Newtonmore, Kingussie, and Aviemore, providing plenty of options for activities and sightseeing. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Wildlife Park and going quad biking through the beautiful Cairngorms. The owners were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

    I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the cottages is ideal, situated in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, with easy access to local walks and outdoor activities. The surroundings are picturesque and provide a peaceful and relaxing environment. The cottages themselves are clean and well-appointed, with a wide range of facilities for self-catering. The hosts, Cameron and Sian, are friendly and accommodating, always available if needed.

The weather conditions, such as heavy snowfall, may occasionally result in some difficulties in accessing the main road.

The location was perfect for exploring the Cairngorms and surrounding areas. The nearby attractions, such as The Boat golf course and the Rothiemurchus Shooting Ground, provided us with plenty of entertainment. The cottage itself was clean and well-equipped, and the wood-burning stove added a cozy touch. The children loved the outdoor activities, especially the swings and the wendy house. it was a wonderful family-friendly experience.

For families with children, it would be great to have a playground on-site.

What a fantastic stay at Highland Holiday Cottages! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The owners were incredibly friendly and provided us with lots of local knowledge, making our stay even more enjoyable. The cottages themselves were warm, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The scenery surrounding the cottages was breathtaking, with endless opportunities for walks, bike rides, and canoeing. I can confidently say that I have found my perfect Highland retreat at Highland Holiday Cottages and I highly recommend it. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely return in the future.

The location provided the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Highlands and enjoying a wide range of activities. We particularly enjoyed visiting "The Boat" golf course, with its stunning setting and challenging course designed by James Braid. The year-round theme park in Carrbridge was another highlight, offering a day filled with fun, discovery, and adventure. The breathtaking scenery and numerous walks and hikes in the area made it an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. All in all, our family had an amazing time exploring and taking part in the various activities available in the region.

My children wanted more indoor activities for rainy days.

Set in a stunning location, close to the Cairngorms National Park. Great for walks and outdoor activities. Conveniently located near the A9. the cottage was clean, tidy, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable self-catering stay. the surrounding views were beautiful, and the grounds were well-maintained. the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful.

the kitchen and bathroom could use some refreshing. There were also some issues with the electric payment system, as it required the use of pre-charged cards, which was a bit inconvenient.

The cottage had modern and cosy decor, with comfortable furniture and a fully equipped kitchen. the bedding was dreamy and the eco-friendly toiletries were gentle on the skin. An energy meter helped us be mindful of energy usage, while still having control over appliances. the multi-fuel burner was ready for use, and there were plenty of entertainment options like DVDs, books, and games. the owners, Lily and Jon, were fantastic hosts and provided helpful suggestions. the location was great for visiting attractions in the Cairngorms Mountain region.

    Felt great, no complaints.

I recently stayed at Highland Holiday Cottages and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect for exploring the Cairngorms and all the nearby attractions. The cottage itself was cosy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a wood-burning stove that added a touch of charm. The views from the cottage were stunning, whether it was the scenic surroundings or the small lake out the back. The enclosed garden was great for my two dogs to run around in. Even though there wasn't a "local" pub within walking distance, we quickly adapted and enjoyed eating out at nearby restaurants. The owners provided clear directions and were incredibly helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I also appreciated the eco-friendliness of the cottages and the lovely water from the spring. Despite some minor hiccups like temperamental Wi-Fi and additional charges for electricity, these didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of our stay. I highly recommend Highland Holiday Cottages for a cosy retreat within easy reach of local attractions in the Cairngorms.

We got amazing value for our money at Highland Holiday Cottages. The room in Elm Cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, with shops nearby and easy access to Aviemore. The staff, Jon and Lily, were extremely friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast could have been improved with a wider selection of options.
